Tablelands Regional Council has partnered with James Cook University, Department of Employment, Small Business and Training, and breakthru (disability employment and NDIS support providers) to host a free interactive forum to discuss improving community disability, rehabilitation and lifestyle services.
“The Tablelands Ability-a-thon will be important for people with a disability, ageing, parents, carers, family, organisations and people interested in a community services career,” said a Council spokeswoman.
“The presenters are keen to hear from you, to ascertain your needs and aspirations for services and employment.
“Head to the Community Education and Disaster Coordination Centre, 3.30–5pm Wednesday 11 March to take part in this important event.
“Register at firstname.lastname@example.org or on our Council Facebook event by 9 March,” she said.
Afternoon tea will be provided.
